This role acts as a key link between clinical teams and the IT department, ensuring that digital systems support safe, efficient and high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have experience contributing to project delivery, an understanding of clinical or hospital workflows, and a strong interest in healthcare IT systems.Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:Support the delivery of clinical IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades and digital transformation initiativesAct as a liaison between clinical, technical and administrative stakeholders to help translate operational requirements into functional solutionsAssist with system design, configuration, testing and go-live activities, ensuring alignment with clinical standards, hospital policy and regulatory frameworksContribute to workflow analysis and documentation to improve system adoption and streamline processesCollaborate with IT and clinical education teams to support the creation of training materials and rollout resourcesProvide day-to-day support for clinical systems and escalate issues appropriatelyAssist in maintaining system documentation, inventories and access reviews to support compliance with data protection and security requirements (e.g. GDPR, JCI, HIQA, NIS2)Participate in working groups or steering committees related to clinical systems and health technology planningProvide regular updates on project progress and contribute to post-implementation reviews and optimisation effortsQualificationsDegree or recognised qualification in healthcare, IT or a related fieldProject management training or certification (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile, Lean) desirableHealth Informatics qualification desirableExperienceExperience working in healthcare, IT or project coordinationExposure to clinical IT systems such as EHRs, ICU CIS, or other patient care technologies desirableExperience contributing to multidisciplinary project teams involving clinical, IT and administrative stakeholdersJob Specific Competencies and KnowledgeUnderstanding of clinical or hospital workflowsKnowledge of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g. GDPR, HIQA, NIS2, JCI) desirableStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to support project delivery and manage smaller tasks or work packages independentlyPersonal CompetenciesStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsEffective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levelsAdaptable and proactive, with a willingness to learn and contribute to change initiativesTeam-oriented and collaborative, with a positive and solutions-focused approachHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety in project deliveryNote: This job description outlines the key responsibilities and expectations for the Clinical Informatics Project Manager role.
