You will be responsible for managing defects related inspections, surveys and remedial works.Core duties and responsibilities:Liaise with the on-site team on project updates.Inspection of building construction stages and site civil engineering works as the works progress to ensure compliance with specifications, statutory standards including Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents, Fire Safety and Planning Permissions etc.Monitoring compliance of Health, Safety & Welfare on sites.Carrying out building surveys and audits as required.Maintain site logs of construction works including risks and mitigation measures for delivery of new homes.Working as part of a multi-disciplinary scheme responsible for snagging and sign off on defects.Managing the handover process of dwellings with internal and external teams; assist in dealing with any post occupancy issues arising in defect liability period.Qualifications/Experience Minimum 5 years post graduate experience.Hold a National Certificate/National Diploma in Construction Studies or Civil Engineering issued by the National Council for Education Awards/ Further Education Training Awards Council or: be a member of the Institute of Clerk of Works in Ireland orpossess a full course certificate in building issued by the Technical Instruction Branch of the Department of Education ora first class Technological Certificate (Intermediate Stage) ora Technological Certificate (Advanced Stage) issued by the Department of Education orhave had satisfactory supervisory experience of building work, including housingHave an good knowledge of building construction methods and civil engineering works associated with Large Scale Scheme Construction and housing projects.Strong understanding of Irish building and H&S regulations.Capable of writing clear and concise reports, keeping works and inspection records, and reading drawings and specifications.The closing date for applications is Friday, 18th October 2024.
