Cleaning Operative/Kitchen Assistant for a Private Residential Care Home

We offer flexibility, career progression and a competitive start rate.Part-time Kitchen Assistant/Housekeeping for a residential private care home 20-25 hours per week.Purpose of the RoleTo undertake daily cleaning of the building in line with Health & Safety Standards. The cleaner will work within a team to ensure that the building is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.Job Description General Operative The following are key areas of responsibility for the cleaner:Undertake general cleaning of all non-clinical areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells and toilets, etc.Vacuuming, dusting and washing floors and wallsSweeping, floor polishing and waste disposalWash windows, walls and ceilingsDust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furnitureClean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliancesEnsuring the toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies are replenished when requiredClean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevatorsDisinfect operating rooms and other building areasGeneral housekeeping and cleaning around the building and litter controlInform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposesUndertake any other duties as requestedJob Description Kitchen Assistant Be ready to serve breakfast within the time assigned by management.Collect trays after breakfast, put dirty dishes in the dishwasher, wash trays in hot soapy water and wipe trolley.Unload dishwasher and clean filter and dishwasher.Collect jugs from the resident room, wash in hot soapy water and return back to rooms daily.Check and clean the tea trolley.Check pantry for daily supplies, restock containers daily.Make sure before filling and restocking containers are washed in hot soapy waterClean fridge, microwave, toaster, oven, refill dishwashing liquid, check rinse aid in dishwasherCheck fridges and clean inside and out daily.Everything in the fridge must be labelled.Wipe down kitchenette cupboards inside and outProvide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of the residents. Uphold and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.Prepare dining room for service prior to residents arrival including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, water, etc. Escort residents to tables for dining.Before serving lunch check the temperature of the food. Monitor diners' satisfaction frequently and anticipate needs without requiring directionCommunicate continually with Kitchen assistants, Chefs and Manager on duty in order to deliver food in a timely manner and execute a smooth flowing dining experience for residents.
