Civils Team Leader

Civils Team LeaderRecruiting for a Civils Gang, Team Leader & Operative Permanent, full-time Competitive salary plus benefits  This is an excellent opportunity for a Civils Team Leader who will lead a ‘Civils team’ of two people. You will be responsible for the installation and signage functions. The Civils Team Leader will be required to ensure that all work is completed in a safe and professional manner and to a high standard in accordance with Utility Line technical designs and guidelines. You will travel nationwide to complete Civil Engineering Works for EV and grid connection projects for our continuously growing client base. Working closely with your dedicated Civils Operative, you will need to ensure your ‘Teams’ work is completed in a safe and professional manner and to a high standard in accordance with Utility Line Management Systems and Technical Designs and Guidelines.More about the role:Excavation works including service trenchingOperation of small highways and maintenance plant and equipmentCarry out ground surveys and locate underground services using cable avoidance toolsLiaising with on-site representatives and working closely with the Site Managers/Supervisors and in some instances the Utility Line Electrical Teams and Sub-ContractorsReading site designsManage your company vehicle and ensure it is in good working order at all times and notify management if any repairs are requiredReporting hazards/near misses using Utility Line’s reporting systemBuilding foundations, forming concrete bases, laying ducting, reinstating surfaces, creating inspection pits, reinstatement of cable joint bays and cable installationAbility to work with a range of colleagues and client and able to deliver great customer service onsiteTo highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your Line ManagerKeep project sites tidy and in good working order at all timesTo represent Utility Line in a professional manner at all timesThis role requires a complete Civils Team/Gang - if you are part of an existing gang please get in touch and submit both of your CV's About you: Proven track record of working on or adjacent to the electricity distribution networksUnderstanding of the Electrical Safety rulesNRSWA/EUSR/CSCS cards - Mechanical Excavators/CPCS/NPORS cardsUnderstanding of the Interpretation of mains recordsManual handling trainingWinch TrainingTowing License - Emergency First Aid (advanced)Risk assessment trainingKnowledge of Use of hydraulically operated plant and equipmentCable avoidance/abrasive wheel trainingFull, clean UK driving license About us: At Adler and Allan Group, we're not just a company – we're environmental champions committed to protecting our planet while helping businesses thrive.
