Accountability & Working relationships:Title:               Permanent Catering Assistant                      Reporting to:         Catering Manager/Chefs Job PurposeEnsuring the areas of assignment and associated areas are maintained to the highest possible standard of hygiene, cleanliness, required by the Hospital and in accordance with statutory requirementsCatering Assistants are mobile within the department. They are based at ward level, staff restaurant and kitchen. Hours may differ depending on areas where working.DutiesPerform duties based on specific area of work.Service of meals.Attending to functions.Adhering to cleaning schedules.Adhering to specification, standards & procedures in place.Reporting any defects in equipment.Taking maximum security of your area of work.Reporting any accidents, fire, stock loss.Attending training courses when required.Adhering to H.A.C.C.P. and maintaining records.Liaising with nursing staff at ward level.Responsibility for duties to area assigned.GeneralHigh standard of personal cleanliness and operational hygiene must be maintained at all times. All catering and hygiene policies must be adhered to. Suitable protective clothing must be worn while on duty. Full uniform, hairnets and safety shoes must be worn.No use of mobile phones while on duty.In case of sick leave an employee must inform their Supervisor before 8.30a.m, in the morning on a daily basis until medical certification is supplied.All employees returning to work must inform Catering Department before 3.00 p.m., the afternoon before returning to work.Qualifications:FETAC Level 5 desirableExperience:Minimum of 2 year experience in cateringClosing DateFriday 30th July
