Carvery Chef

Talbot Hotel Cork are seeking an experience Carvery Chef. Morning/Day Time hours, with flexibility. Come experience it for yourself and join our team.  Reporting to the Head Chef/Sous Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, producing and serving food for carvery service in agreement to 4 star standards.Main Duties to include :To prepare and produce food for the section to which you are assigned and to the standards agreed, working in conjunction with other chefs.Be able to cook, control and present a variety of large amount of items including joints of meatBe able to adapt to customer needs and requestsTo adhere to hygiene regulations regarding uniform, personal hygiene and operational hygiene.To ensure all necessary mis-en-place are ready prior to serviceEnsure the carvery section is prepared in advance of each shift in according with relevant SOP's.Stay current with relevant legislation regarding service of foodRelevant Skills candidate will:Up to 2 years' experience in a similar position.Have the ability to work well in a busy environment and under pressure.Have a passion for quality and presentation;Be HACCP trained and demonstrate excellent hygiene practice;Have a professional appearance & work attitudeAbility to work alone and as part of a teamGood command of the English LanguageThe successful Chef must be legally entitled to work in Ireland.Some of the benefits of joining the team at Oriel House:Contributory company pension scheme.
