 Recruitment Day AnnouncementSaint John of God Community Services Liffey Services invites you to our Recruitment Day!Date: 24th May 2025Venue: Clayton Hotel Liffey ValleyTime: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PMAbout Us: Saint John of God Community Services Liffey Services supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within the community they live in.Job Opportunity: We are inviting applications for the position of Care Assistants based in the North Kildare and Dublin South West areas to provide support to individuals with an intellectual disability within our Residential and Community Residential Services.Position: Care Assistants - Residential ServicesSuitable candidates must have:Successfully completed a relevant QQI certificate (formerly FETAC) at level 5 (All 8 modules)Minimum one year’s full-time paid experience working with people with intellectual disability or other care services highly desirableExcellent communication skills both written and verbal essentialA commitment to work with all residents who have varying support needs and complex needs to ensure they have full and meaningful livesAn ability to be flexible and professional in all aspects of workAn understanding of the values and ethos of the organisation and a commitment to implementing theseDemonstrate an ability to support residents in all aspects of their lives, promoting their independence and personal developmentDemonstrate a commitment to promoting the rights of people with disabilitiesDeliver safe and respectful person-centred care and support to all residentsWilling to work all types of shifts (i.e., Long Day, Short day, sleepovers, Split shifts, night shift) and patterns of work (weekdays, holiday periods, and weekends) to suit the needs of the residentsFull clean manual driving licence essentialApplication Process: To apply for the recruitment day, please submit your application through the provided link, ensuring all required information is included in your Curriculum Vitae.
