Canteen Assistant

Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, part of Talbot Collection, are recruiting for a Canteen Assistant to join our team. The Canteen Assistant will report the Head Chef. Overall Job Purpose:To  assist in the day-to-day operations of our hotel canteen, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our employees and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.To deliver exceptional friendly service at all times, to every guest, in line with the Talbot Collection ‘Empower Your Excellence’ customer service program. Main Duties:Greet employees warmly as they enter the canteen.Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner set up to be carried out.Clear tables and clean dining area promptly to maintain a tidy and organized environmentAssist in restocking food, beverages, and utensils as needed.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. Minimum Requirements:Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed.Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.What do we offer?Complimentary Gym MembershipDiscounted Accommodation RatesPettitt's SuperValu DiscountLife InsuranceEmployee Counselling LineBike to Work SchemePension SchemeChristmas Savings SchemeFree parkingUniformStaff MealsTalbot Hotel Stillorgan, part of Talbot Collection is an equal opportunity employer
