The successful candidate will support the F&E functional area, working with various types of process equipment from LYO, Aseptic filling equipment, Autoclaves, Packaging equipment, Cold chain warehousing. We are a multi-discipline team working in support functions across the Amgen production site. The role will offer the successful candidate growth and development opportunities across multiple departments. The following are an example of some of the responsibilities of the role.The successful candidate will be directly responsible for the execution of equipment calibrations to requisite standards and in accordance with all site procedures in their assigned area of responsibility. In addition, the Calibrations Technician is required to assist in the safe and efficient operation of maintenance systems in compliance with regulatory, cGMP and to HPRA and FDA standards. Responsibilities ·        Work with flexibility within the Calibrations Department and in co-operation with other Departments.·        Ensure all company policies and Calibration procedures are adhered to.·        Ensure that all calibration deviations are handled and escalated as per company, site procedures.·        Ensure the successful calibration of all process, utility and lab equipment.·        Coordinate with the planning departments, area supervisors and service providers to ensure calibrations are scheduled and performed within required intervals and with minimal equipment down time.·        Respond to technical queries related to calibration instrumentation.·        Carry out fault-finding and root cause analysis on breakdowns.·        Carry out planned/unplanned equipment.·        Proactively follow up on re-occurring technical issues.·        Use of the MAXIMO CMMS system to record in detail Calibrations activities on equipment/utilities in compliance with regulatory & cGMP requirements.·        Participate in Safety and Environmental training programmes and initiatives. Adhere to safe working practices as set out by the Safety Statement and other company safety rules.·        Participate fully in any cross-functional training initiatives. Minimum Requirements·        Valid Visa to work in the Republic of Ireland·        Minimum of an Instrumentation apprenticeshipOR·        Engineering Degree qualification 2.1 minimum.Skills/CompetenciesPerform monthly calibrations for process, utility and analytical lab equipment and systems related to instruments and control systems.Troubleshoot and repair site instrumentation and control and monitoring system issuesEnsure work is completed in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with applicable cGMP proceduresEnsure that instrumentation and calibration documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with applicable cGMP proceduresExecution of work according to plan and schedule ensuring coordination of work with maintenance and operations staff to minimize impact to production activitiesRecommend and implement improvement ideas to enhance the instrumentation and metrology functions and other business processes.Education/ Experience Requirements: E&I or Instrumentation Apprenticeship or B.Sc. Degree in instrument / electronic engineering or equivalent.3+ years of combined education, training, and experience in instrumentation calibration measurement and control preferably in Pharmaceutical Industry3+ years knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical and electronic instrumentation and ability to effectively perform associated calibration proceduresKnowledge and experience working in a GMP regulated facility.Experience executing and documenting instrumentation work orders in Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management systemAbility to interpret loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID's, I/O wiring and panel drawingsComputer literate - minimum 3 years’ experienceLocation : Dun Laoghaire, Co DublinHiring Manager: Michael CallaghanContract Start Date : Immediately
