Job specification:•Reviewing calves as they come on to unit to ensure they meet the procurement specification and raising concerns if this is not the case. •Assist with tagging, vaccinating and weighing of animals where required.•Regular visits to calf rearing units to ensure that rearers are compliant with protocols.•Work closely with the veterinary team to ensure that calf health and welfare is upheld as a priority, helping to maximise growth rates and minimise loses and wastage. •Collate data and assist the veterinary team in completing 6 monthly health reviews at each rearing unit.•Use farm software to monitor data and records inputted by the rearer.•Following up leads of potential new rearers, visiting them and their unit and assessing suitability.Personal specification:•Driving license•Animal handling•Computer literacy•Communication
