We have a host of award-winning cafes and restaurants, Food Markets crammed with artisanal ingredients from near and far, as well as a best-selling range of Avoca cookbooks. There are also gardens to explore at many of our stores, as well as florists and garden centres. The list goes on. And all of this from a modest hand weaving mill, established in a rural Irish village in 1723.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Butcher Manager to oversee the daily operations of our butchery department in our Avoca Monkstown store . The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills,  experience in butchery, strong administration and organisation skills be confident using computer systems to manage stock and sales efficientlyKey Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day operations of the butcher store, ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiencySupervise and lead a team of butchersMaintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and food qualityHandle stock management including receiving and placing orders, conducting regular stock takes, and ensuring proper stock rotationUse EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems for sales tracking, inventory control, and reportingUtilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft 365 for administrative and reporting tasksAnalyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and make informed business decisionsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations Requirements:Proven experience in a butchery environment, with managerial or supervisory experience preferredStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft 365Excellent organizational and communication skillsStrong understanding of stock control, ordering, and rotation practicesAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends if requiredWhy work with us?We're always on the lookout for like-minded folks to join our merry flock of men and women. So, apart from coming to work with your amazing teammates every day, we also offer the following benefits: Daytime HoursPension SchemeProfessional DevelopmentEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEmployee Referral BonusFamily Friendly PoliciesLife Assurance BenefitCycle To Work SchemeHealth & Wellness Programmes
