Business Intelligence Analyst

We have one goal; to deliver more than clients expect first time, every timeTo support our ongoing Digital Transformation, we have an excellent opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our global IT team. This role requires a “hands-on” individual who enjoys working with technology. Reporting to the Business Applications Lead, the successful candidate will work closely with the business units and IT leadership team to provide strategic, analytical, and technical support for business intelligence activities. The analyst leverages data to gain key insight into business opportunities, and effectively presents these insights to business stakeholders. The analyst is also heavily involved with the distribution and successful delivery of all BI reports. This role will be based at our Cary, North Carolina office or other USA office. Some travel may be required to other global DPS locations (travel required – 10-15%). This is a days-based role but may involve weekend working or irregular hours dependent on business needs.Core responsibilities will include·        Be the ‘go to’ expert for DPS on all matters relating to Data Analytics.·        Works closely with the business to identify Data Analytics requirements through workshops and stakeholder discussions. ·        Translates business requirements into technical requirements.·        Support a global Data Analytics strategy and roadmap that provides measurable business value. Participate in establishing the overall strategy.·        Work closely with the business and IT leadership team to deliver the strategy. This strategy includes the consideration of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Data Lake solutions.·        Lead BI content development, deployment, and maintenance.·        Data Analytics platform architecture, system ownership and lifecycle management.·        Develops Training content and delivers training to the business.·        Create technical documentation for BI tools. Desirable experience and education ·        Bachelors or master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or the Life Sciences. ·        Experience with extracting data from enterprise systems such as ERP, HR, and Engineering/BIM Applications.·        Experience delivering business dashboards e.g. balanced scorecard, metrics, and reports from multiple data sources.·        Strong knowledge of SQL, Python and/or Javascript, databases, reporting and analytical visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and Spotfire.·        Experience with ETL tools and data modelling concepts such as Star and Snowflake schema.·        Experience with data warehousing and/or Data Lakes. e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS.·        Skills related to data processing methodologies e.g. PowerQuery, dataflows, DAX, window functions.·        Experience with Enterprise Search, Knowledge Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an advantage.·        Strong knowledge of MSTeams collaboration and productivity tools.·        Experience in working in international organisations is an advantage.·        In depth understanding of networks, hosting, databases, business applications including cloud based.·        Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.·        Succinct Communicator - ability to break down complex issues and communicate at all levels in the organisation. Strong writing and presentation skills.·        Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment.·        Keeps up to date on IT future direction.·        Highly motivated.
