The company is 25 years old and employs over 200 talented automation, electrical and IT engineers across offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Waterford, and Chesterfield, UK.NeoDyne is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the NeoDyne team and play a critical role in delivering automation expertise across the site.The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineer will support and enhance site-wide Building Automation and utility control systems within a regulated life-sciences manufacturing environment. The role is site-based and highly collaborative, working closely with facilities, HVAC, utilities, electrical, project teams, and external BAS vendors to support sustaining operations and upgrade projects.Key Responsibilities        Support and maintain the site Building Automation System (Siemens Desigo CC) and associated utility automation systems        Act as a client-side technical interface with BAS vendors, system integrators, and project engineers        Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for live operational systems        Support BAS upgrade and improvement projects from design through commissioning        Develop and execute test procedures, FAT/SAT activities, and automation change controls        Supervise and coordinate vendor and contractor activities on-site        Ensure systems operate in accordance with design specifications and regulatory expectations        Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, reports, and work instructions        Support training and knowledge transfer to site operations and maintenance teams        Ensure safe working practices and compliance with site EHS standards. Required Experience & Skills        Strong experience with Siemens Desigo / Desigo CC in a BAS or BMS environment        Proven experience supporting BAS in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other GMP-regulated manufacturing environments        Hands-on experience with: BAS troubleshooting and live-site support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities Change control and validation-related documentation        Solid understanding of HVAC systems, including AHUs and critical building utilities        Experience working directly with vendors and system integrators        Ability to work on-site full time and manage multiple priorities in an operational facility        Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across engineering, facilities, and operations teams Desired / Nice to Have        Experience interfacing equipment with Siemens PXC controllers        Knowledge of Modbus or other BAS communication protocols        Familiarity with GAMP lifecycle principles        Experience with GDP-compliant documentation practices        Background supporting both project delivery and sustaining operations        Degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)        Prior experience supervising or coordinating external vendors and contractorsWhat’s on Offer        Competitive hourly rate based on experience        Paid overtime available, depending on project demands        Flexible working hours may be accommodated in line with project requirements        Opportunity to work on a high-profile biopharma site with a collaborative, technically strong team        Chance to be part of NeoDyne’s network of engineering professionals, contributing to impactful automation solutions in the life sciences sectorNeoDyne Ltd is an equal opportunity employer, and all applications will be treated in strictest confidence.#LI-JC1
