We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. Job SummaryThe BIM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across MEP projects, ensuring that all models are developed, coordinated, and delivered in accordance with project requirements, company BIM standards, and client specifications. The role supports project teams by managing model coordination, clash detection, information exchange, and BIM documentation throughout the project lifecycle.This role reports to BIM Manager & Project Manager. Working closely with design engineers, project managers, site teams, architects, structural engineers, and other contractors, the BIM Coordinator ensures that coordinated models facilitate efficient design, construction, and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesBIM CoordinationCoordinate multidisciplinary BIM models.Ensure all project models comply with ISO 19650 standards, client BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and company BIM protocols.Manage model federation and coordination using Autodesk Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).Conduct regular clash detection exercises and issue clash reports.Participate in BIM coordination meetings with design teams and subcontractors.Monitor model quality, completeness, and compliance throughout project delivery.Coordinate model updates with consultants, architects, structural engineers, and specialist subcontractors.Model ManagementMaintain project BIM models in Autodesk Revit.Ensure model naming conventions, shared parameters, and file structures comply with company standards.Manage model uploads, version control, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.Produce coordinated model packages for design reviews, construction, and client submissions.Support digital handover requirements, including COBie and Asset Information Models (AIM), where applicable.Technical SupportDevelop and maintain Revit families, templates, and BIM content libraries.Troubleshoot BIM-related issues and improve modelling workflows.Assist in implementing new BIM technologies and digital construction initiatives.Project DeliverySupport project planning by coordinating BIM deliverables with project programmes.Produce 3D views, coordinated layouts, sections, schedules, and installation drawings.Coordinate builder's work drawings and service openings.Support prefabrication and off-site manufacturing (OSM) through accurate coordinated models.Assist site teams with model-based construction sequencing and installation.Quality AssuranceCarry out regular BIM audits.Ensure model accuracy before issue for construction.Maintain project documentation relating to BIM processes.Ensure compliance with company Quality Management Systems, BEP and project procedures.QualificationsBIM qualification or certification is desirable.Minimum 2–3years' experience in BIM coordination within an MEP contractor or consulting engineering environment.Technical SkillsEssential:Autodesk Revit (MEP)Autodesk Navisworks ManageAutodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360AutoCADMicrosoft Office SuiteKnowledge & ExperienceStrong understanding of MEP systems and construction methodologies.Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Level 2 requirements.Understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) processes.Experience in model coordination from design through construction and handover.Key CompetenciesExcellent coordination and organisational skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.High attention to detail.Problem-solving and analytical thinking.Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise deadlines.Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.Commitment to continuous improvement and digital innovation.Performance MeasuresTimely delivery of BIM project milestones.Reduction in coordination clashes before construction.Compliance with BIM Execution Plans and ISO 19650.Quality and accuracy of coordinated models.Client and project team satisfaction.Effective management of BIM documentation and project information.Continuous improvement in BIM processes and digital delivery.In return from Suir Engineering: 23 days annual leave.Company Pension contributions - no waiting periods.Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave.Private Health Insurance contribution.Life and Disability cover.EAP for employees and their families.Educational Assistance, CPD, Chartership supports and upskilling opportunities.Our way of working is called the Suir Way, designed to help us on a journey of continuous improvement. Our people are empowered to make changes to ensure a quality install through effective ways of working. Our people have a voice and feel empowered. We have an in-built culture of innovation, learning and continuous improvement. Value is delivered every step of the journey. Our efficient processes deliver value. We have a standard, consistent and fully integrated health, safety, environment, and quality system within the business.  Suir Engineering are an equal opportunities employer, we value our greatest asset …. our People.
