The Day-to-Day Have a full operational knowledge of all food items, dishes, wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served in the hotel. Liaise with the kitchen and Restaurant teams for menu content, special customer requests, queries, complaints/compliments.Ensure that all guests that you serve receive exceptional customer service.Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner and take orders. Help guests with the selection of menu items, drinks and wine requirements.To work well in a team professionally and seek advice of the Bar Supervisor when required.Make sure that all items purchased are correctly charged to a guest’s bill and that all items have either been paid or signed for at the end of the shift. Ensure that all Conferences, Functions, meetings and parties are invoiced immediately after an event.Ensure that the restaurant, bar, still area, room service areas and function rooms are cleaned and fully prepared for service.Clear and relay tables efficiently whilst offering extra drinks to all customers.Up sell to maximise the Sales.Ensure that the Food & Beverage Department works in a safe manner, conforming to statutory and company Health and Safety, Fire, manual handling, COSHH, storage, disposal of waste materials and reporting of accidents. Comply with other related statutory regulations, such as Liquor Licensing and Food Hygiene Regulations.Carry out any reasonable request by the Bar Supervisor and Restaurant Manager.About You The ideal candidate will have a passion for Customer service and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
