Bar Manager

Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, part of the Talbot Collection are currently looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be energetic, passionate about exceptional service, organised and an excellent people manager. They will be responsible for the efficient running of the Brass Bar & Grill as well as the function bars in the hotel. The successful candidate must have previous experience managing a busy food and beverage operation.The Bar Manager will report to the General Manager and the Deputy General Manager.The Talbot Collection are one of the Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2024 as awarded by the Great Place to Work. Come experience it for yourself and join our team. Main duties and responsibilities: To oversee the efficient running of Brass Bar & Grill and the function bars to include but not limited to: service standards, team management, rostering, training, ordering and stock control, and GP margin achievement To ensure that the bar team consistently deliver exceptional friendly service, to every guest, in line with the Talbot Collection ‘Empower Your Excellence’ customer service programTo ensure that the bar is adequately resourced and that the team are effectively trained to deliver exceptional service at all times to the expected Talbot Collection standardsAdopt a ‘hands on’ approach to ensure efficient service provision working closely with the bar team and the kitchen team. The bar manger will be expected to be on the floor leading, directing and delegating during busy timesResponsible for the overall financial performance of the bar with total responsibility for the achievement of targeted wage percentages and GP margins Ensure the consistent delivery of departmental SOP’s, updating and improving as necessaryEnsure that the highest levels of hygiene are maintained in the bar and that the bar is compliant with all best practice Health and Safety requirements.To carry out Duty Management shifts, as requiredThe successful candidate must:·      Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a 4* hotel bar.·      Experience managing a team.·      Have good financial acumen and 3 years’ experience managing rosters, wages, stock and margins.·      Be passionate and motivated by guest satisfaction.·      Be organised and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.·      Be a team player.Some of the Benefits:One of the Best Places to Work in Hospitality 2024 as awarded by the Great Place WorkJoin a company and culture that put their team firstTraining and Development Opportunities - we invest in our peopleBeing part of a progressive & growing company.Contributory company pension scheme.
