ATG Operations Director (EMEA)

DPS Group has an incredible opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to work for our Advanced Technology Group (ATG) to manage and lead our multi-disciplined teams, based out of our European Headquarters. The EMEA Operations Director is a mission-critical senior leadership role supporting our Global Business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Global Operations, the Individual will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding our business across the EMEA region to ensure that all Engineering deliverables and business development opportunities are achieved. The individual will be directly responsible for growing the business from existing turnover and profit levels to a multimillion-dollar operation in line with our overall company projected growth plans. Our main clients are currently based in the US and EMEA and the DPS strategy is to grow the existing business and build a business with new Clients and expand based on our strategic growth plans over the next 5 years. To succeed in this position the candidate must have a strong Engineering and Construction background, particularly associated with ATG facility design and construction management, life sciences experience would be advantageous in line with the diverse client base DPS support, but is not mandatory. The successful candidate will be expected to run the operation, secure new business, and build and maintain excellent relationships with existing and new customers. The individual must be able to demonstrate achievements accomplished throughout his or her career that clearly identifies strong business acumen and entrepreneurial skillset, strategic vision, and a strong analytical approach to business decisions and successes. DPS as a company has a global presence and operates in multiple jurisdictions across diverse business sectors, the individual selected will be an integral element as part of the overall company growth plan and will offer challenges and experience to the selected candidate that are rewarding in terms of personal and professional development. Position Responsibilities:The individual will be responsible for an organisation that supports ATG projects comprising Program & Project Managers and Engineers to ensure that both home office and site-based project activities and design and construction deliverables are achieved to meet Client schedules.The Individual will serve as the overall Manager in a mentoring or sponsorship role for various projects, overseeing the work of multiple Program & Project Managers, and will also play an essential role in securing new business, by developing strong client relationships and participating in promotional and proposal activities. The Individual will need to ensure the profitability of the operation as a measure of metrics against established plans.The key responsibilities of the role are as follows; Ensure the integrity of multiple engineering project budgets through approved scope changes, schedule changes, budget changes, and contingency reallocations.Provide technical leadership and engineering and construction direction in the preparation of proposals in response to RFP/RFQ requirements, review bids, and terms of sale.Manage and select engineering projects, in addition to overseeing technical staff.Provide Business Development support to new engineering and construction business efforts including marketing support, proposal writing, and presentation support where necessary.Provide mentoring and training of Project Managers.Develop, maintain, and advances client relationships through sales strategies and client contacts, resulting in new contracts for engineering & construction business with ATGDevelop and implement a business plan and sales strategy to achieve company sales goals and profitability.Manage existing and new relationships between customers by prospecting and active sourcing and work with operations teams to assess resource availability and assemble project teams.Review market analyses to determine engineering customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.Deliver sales revenues for the company in line with pre-agreed growth strategies and established Budgets.Coordinate customer accounts and activities across the EMEA . Education & QualificationsMust have a minimum of 15+ years of progressive work history in the Engineering Design and Construction Industry for semiconductor and or life sciences.Must have a proven track record in executing capital projects for facility design and construction engineering projects in excess of €300m across semiconductor and or life sciences industriesPrevious experience of “Base build” , “Tool Install” ‘’FAB Construction’’ and Construction Management is required.Degree qualified engineer or 20+ years of direct equivalent experience in the industryExperience in conventional design and construction of alternative delivery methods (design-build, P3, modular etc.) is required.Experience and background as an effective on-site team lead; plan, organize and execute multiple projects.Must be highly motivated, responsive to change, proactive, strong decision-maker and willing to take on new challenges.Track record of success in new business development for design, engineering, and construction projects.Results-oriented and customer-focused.Strong people management, interpersonal and communication skills.Must possess strong writing and communication skills, outstanding presentation and negotiating skills.Sales background in Engineering Services and or ATG specific industry /20-30% Travel Annually
