Assistant Bar Manager

We are currently recruiting for the full-time position of Assistant Bar Manager, reporting to the Bar Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in the management or supervision of a busy bar. Candidate Profile:·        Role would suit an energetic, customer focused hospitality professional·        Have a very strong background in Bars & Supervision·        Be a team player and completely focused on the delivery of exceptional customer service·        Good communication, decision-making skills & ability to work well under pressure·        People focused manager to support and mentor all staffResponsibilities: to assist the Bar Manager with the following:·        Ability to represent the Coach House at meetings when required ·        Ensure all departmental staff are able to carry out their duties to the standards as laid down in the standard of performance manual·        Been aware of relevant competitor information and market changes to initiate changes to our services, rates as appropriate·        To ensure agreed uniform standards are achieved throughout the department·        Carry out regular review of departmental training needs in conjunction with departmental training plan and to assist in ensuring that all appropriate training is carried out·        Record all training and attend training in accordance with agreed procedures·        To follow, implement and continuously update SOPs in the Coach House·        Ensure cash handling procedures are adhered to and stock control is proactively managed·        To develop and coach the team through effective communication and Job chats·        Utilise supervisory skills, effective communication, and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction·        To ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, dress, appearance and conduct is maintained at all times ·        To ensure effective rostering practices to maximise efficiency in the Brasserie & Banqueting BarsTo follow, implement and continuously update the SOP’s for the Department
