Assistant Architectural Conservationist

At Purcell‘s Hong Kong Studio, we are looking for a highly motivated, Assistant Architectural Conservationist to join our team working on a range of conservation projects in Hong Kong and the wider APAC region. Candidates should hold, as a minimum, 1 to 2 years’ working experience on conservation projects and are able to evidence a keen attention to detail and high-quality examples of work submitted with their applications. Note: this may include 3D modelling production and preparation of presentation documents.Condition and site surveys.Assist with contract administration including inspections during construction stage.Attend and minute client meetings pre and post construction.Candidates will have/be:A Master’s degree in Conservation.A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related discipline.Proficiency in 2D drafting such as AutoCAD, 3D modelling in Sketchup and graphic production using Affinity/Adobe Creative Suite.Well organised, with good project management and coordination skills, and have a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and projectsCommitment to the role.Ability to manage self, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.Personable, confident and with a keen sense of team spirit.Able to receive feedback positively, even if different to own views or ideas.Good presentation skills (Visual, written & spoken).Fluent in English and Cantonese, both written and spoken.A basic understanding of industry technical standards and statutory requirements.A basic understanding of architectural history.Professional at all times.The right to work in Hong Kong.It would also be an advantage if candidates possess: Previous experience working on adaptive reuse projects with A&A worksAre a HKICON Professional MemberHave proficiency in BIM and REVITThis job description is a guide to the duties the post holder will be expected to undertake.
