About the Role:We are hiring an Apprentice and Trainee Coordinator based in our head office in Mallow, Co. Cork.This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the apprenticeship program and development of our traineeship offering, ensuring its successful implementation, and facilitating the professional growth and development of apprentices and trainees.This role involves coordinating training and development activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing support to apprentices and trainees to ensure their successful progression and completion of the program. It also involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior leaders, managers, mentors, educational institutions, and the apprentices themselves.Key Responsibilities: Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive apprenticeship and traineeship programs in collaboration with senior leaders, department managers, Supervisors and training providers including rotations and co-ordination of the programmesCo-ordinate and develop the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for apprentices and trainees. Liaise with educational institutions and local schools to attract potential candidatesConduct research on industry best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the programmesOrganise and schedule training sessions, workshops, and assessmentsCompliance and Administration: Ensure all apprenticeship and traineeship programs comply with relevant legislation and industry standardsMaintain accurate records and documentation for all apprentices and traineesPrepare reports on program progress, outcomes, and areas for improvementSupport and Mentorship: Provide ongoing support, guidance, and mentorship to apprentices and traineesAddress any issues or concerns that may arise during the training periodFoster a positive and inclusive learning environmentStakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with training providers, industry bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality training programsCollaborate with managers and supervisors to integrate apprentices and trainees into their respective departments effectivelyPerformance Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor the progress and performance of apprentices and trainees through regular assessments and feedback sessions. Assist in resolving any performance-related issuesIdentify areas where additional support or training may be requiredEvaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvementsTraining and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of apprentices and traineesCollaborate with internal departments and external trainers to organise workshops, seminars, and mentoring sessionsCareer Development: Assist apprentices and trainees with career planning and development. Provide information on potential career pathways and opportunities for further education and trainingKey Competencies and Skills:Knowledge and technical ability of mechanical and electrical fieldsStrong organisational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyExperience in managing apprenticeship or traineeship programs is preferred. Capability to provide guidance and support to apprentices and traineesKnowledge of relevant regulations and industry standardsExcellent organisational and time-management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with apprentices, trainees, senior leaders, managers and supervisors.
