On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the learner is awarded a Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Automotive Technician. It would be beneficial but not essential that applicants would have successfully completed their education to Leaving Certificate level. Good exam results in the following would be an advantage, Mathematics, Technical Drawing/Graphics, Metalwork, Technology and Physics.Theory test completion working towards their 12 lessons would be a necessity for the role.
