Pilgrim's UK Lamb formally, Randall Parker Foods is currently recruiting for Apprentice Butchery and Slaughter line staff to work at our meat processing site based in Llanidloes. We are working with Cambrian Training offering a Foundation apprenticeship level 2 & 3 in meat & poultry industry skills qualifications.The starting rate of pay is £10.03, with the potential to earn up to £15.05 for overtime.You will work a minimum of 40 hours per week You will work Monday to Friday 6.00am to Finish As a Trainee Butcher or Slaughter line Staff member you will join either the Butchery or Slaughter team and your daily duties will involve but are not limited to:Working on a paceline or slaughter linePerforming skilled tasks which include cutting, deboning meat and dressing carcasses to the required specificationUndertaking manual handling tasks as well as using equipment or machinery when requiredEnsuring the quality of the product meets the required specification, as well as adhering to all Health & Safety and Food Safety processes and proceduresYou will be required to work in either Lamb & Beef Butchery or Lamb Abattoir area dependent on your experience.Our ideal Apprentice Butcher/Slaughter line Staff will be comfortable working with raw meat and will be able to lift 12-25kg when required.You will pay high attention to detail and ensure that the quality of products meets the required specification and standards.You will confidently be able to work with meat, and you will be happy to complete repetitive tasks, while standing for the full shift.You will be able to work with knives and other equipment.
