Activities Co-Ordinator - Newcastle West

Windmill Healthcare is currently recruiting for a qualified Activities Co-Ordinator to join our Care Team at Killeline Care Centre, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.Duties:Oversee and coordinate the appropriate recreational, physical and individualised activities programme for the residents of Killeline Care Centre Review resident activity assessments on a regular basis or on a needs change basisIdentify the needs of the collective group and individuals and tailor the activities to suit them Encourage involvement from the residents of The Village Nursing Care CentreEstablish an open relationship with each resident and encourage each resident to participateEducate Killeline Care Centre staff to provide resident activities.Report any concerns about a resident to the lead nurse in chargeAttend training courses both in-house and at other locations to meet and enhance the service being provided by Killeline Care Care CentreTo undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Nursing.The foregoing should not be considered exhaustive.Skills:Enjoy working with older people Fluent in the English language (verbal and written) and be eligible to work in IrelandBe a committed, patient and caring person with a sense of humour and a positive outlook on life Highly motivated and have excellent communication skills to deliver activity programmes to a range of people Strong communication and listening skillsThe ability to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers and residentsAct as a good role modelPossess excellent teaching skillsQualifications:Gerontology Experience Sonas aPc  Experience: Previous experience with older peopleBenefits:Discounted/free foodEducation reimbursementFlexible working hoursOn-site parkingBe part of our story....
