The Accounts Payable Lead will manage a team of four and will play a key role in the overall governance and compliance of the organisation. Within this Corporate Services Directorate the Core Finance team are responsible for overseeing all payments to ensure that they are paid appropriately and in accordance with strong governance and internal controls. The team is also responsible for the annual budgeting process, internal monthly reporting, forecasting and preparation of year end statutory accounts. The Accounts Payable Lead will be required to work closely with all members of the Finance team and reports to the Financial Controller or his/her nominee. This position will play a key role in the Corporate Services Directorate. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of results.Essential Requirements:The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:A degree (Level 7 on NFQ) or equivalent in either business, finance, accounting or related area and a minimum of four years’ experience working in an end-to-end Accounts Payable function.ORA third level qualification (Level 6 on NFQ) or equivalent in either business, finance, accounting or a related area and a minimum of 10 years’ experience of working in an end-to-end Accounts Payable function.Well-developed IT skills and understanding of office 365 package.Experience of managing a team and staff development. Strong understanding of Irish Taxation rules and application (VAT, PSWT & RCT).Demonstrated experience in process improvement and change. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.Strong understanding of controls and good governance practices.Desirable Requirements:Experience in a Public Sector or other highly regulated environment. Understanding of Public Sector taxation. Experience of using Power BI.Working knowledge of the Integra Centros finance system.Interest or knowledge of the Sustainable Energy sector in Ireland.Eligibility to Work:The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland.
