The Accounts Assistant will also support the Financial Controller in the Month End process and other ad hoc duties. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take get experience in the development of a new software system and exposure in the Month End process, from bank reconciliations to posting journals and preparing accounts to Trial Balance.  Main responsibilities: ·       Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance on a monthly basis·       Prepare and execute payment runs·       Reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner·       Support to staff as ‘super-user’ of Glantus PO system and maintenance of internal price listing·       Identify and report issues with Glantus to the Financial Controller and raise tickets to get the issues resolved. Follow up with support and escalate if needed.·       Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and bank account reconciliations·       Assist the Financial Controller with month-end activities and reporting·       Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve AP-related issues·       Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as neededQualifications:ATI qualified preferable Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance roleStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in accounting software (Pegasus Opera or Sage) and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines·       Proactive and resourceful in resolving issues and improving processes·       Growth Potential: Ability to grow with the role as it develops  This job description outlines the main functions and responsibilities of the post and is subject to review and amendment according to business needs within Nazareth House.However, it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties involved.
