We are now heralded as one of Ireland’s most exciting retail stores, with a host of award-winning cafes, restaurants and food markets crammed with artisanal ingredients from near and far.  Accounts Assistant (Part Time)Job DescriptionThe opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant (part time-25 hrs per week) to join the company in Avoca Head Office. They will report directly to the Finance Manager and will assist in the day to day operations of the finance function, responsible for a variety of tasks including month ends and quarterly reporting.ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Controlling·       Manage the Creditors Process which includes the approval of all invoices, invoices are coded and processed, monthly statements are reconciled, payment files are raised and reviewed, production of monthly accruals, all outstanding queries are discussed with manager and all significant price increases are highlighted.·       Manage Debtors which includes credit control, processing credit card payments, allocation of payments, managing and escalating overdue payments and the submission of customer statements.·       Manage Cash book payments/receipts for the company.·       Calculate and process the monthly Agent Commissions.·       Prepare the Monthly Bank Reconciliations.·       Support with Fixed Assets and Depreciation.·       Deliver Balance Sheet Reconciliations on the Group Reporting system (Blackline) in line with deadlines, Monthly or Quarterly.·       Prepare the monthly cashflow.·       Other ad hoc analysis and support as required.Audit & Compliance·       Support with submission for all compliance including VAT, Intrastat and CSO submission etc.·       Collaborate with internal audit and implement process improvements as required.·       Support the Annual audit for the company.Other·       Inputs to continuous process improvements to enhance the financial controls. Requirements·       3-4 years Accounts Experience·       Excellent attention to detail.·       Excellent computer and analytical skills·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.·       Proficient with software systems such as Excel, Oracle, Blackline etc·       Proactive approach to workBenefits:Pension SchemeProfessional DevelopmentLife Assurance BenefitEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEmployee Referral BonusCycle To Work SchemeHealth & Wellness Programmes
