Full training will be given to all employees with minimum experience to enable them to progress their skills and earnings.Duties include:Ensure carcasses are dressed and trimmed according to ABP and Customer specifications as directed by the Abattoir Manager/SupervisorEnsure work is carried out to the best of operative's abilities to meet production deadlinesSeek training to maintain skills and remain up to date with best practiceEnsure that all parts of the carcase are trimmed to produce optimum production yield while adhering to legislation and company requirementsWork as part of a team and take responsibility for own workCarry out all procedures in a safe manner in accordance with trainingComply with company policy and procedures on safe food handling and hygiene at all timesMaintain responsibility for operational effectiveness of equipment and machinery and report faults to supervisor in a timely mannerMaintain personal PPECarry out any other reasonable duties assigned To become a team member ideally you will have: Previous experience in a food production environment is desirableThe ability to demonstrate knife skills for the skilled roles OR a willingness to learn in semi-skilled/ trainee rolesGood communicationThe ability to work on own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfactionGood attention to detailGood attendance & timekeeping Benefits include:Competitive rates of pay Opportunities for progression In-house and certified training opportunities NVQs, ESOL courses Recruit A Friend Scheme Free Carparking On site canteen Employee discount in local businesses Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program
