Senior Psychologist x 2South Kildare West Wicklow Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT)  Permanent Contract - 28 hours per week Senior Psychologist Payscale, Max Point 1 €100,482 DOE 12 month Fixed-Term Contract - 35 hours per week Senior Psychologist Payscale, Point 1 €100,482 to Max Point 5 €110,049 DOE In line with the HSE National Programme for Progressing Disability Services, Kare is the Lead Agency for the provision of supports across South Kildare West Wicklow. The successful candidate will join an established Interdisciplinary CDNT, which reconfigured in 2014, providing quality, evidenced based and family-centred supports for children and young people aged 0-18 years, who present with complex needs associated with disability, within an interdisciplinary framework, to support their development to enable active participation in community life.The Senior Psychologist develops and provides a quality, evidence-based therapy service. Duties include:Be able to plan, prioritise and organise a clinical caseload relevant to the rolePlan assessment and deliver individualised or group interventions as appropriate to the needs identifiedDemonstrate advanced clinical reasoning skills and decision making that supports the needs of the service user and meet the specific needs of the caseloadCollaborate with the service user, all carers and supports staff to identify goals for the service user and plan interventions as appropriate to the situations that presentEffectively manage and maintain the psychology resources, facilities and equipmentAbility to participate in case reviews or case conferences and take on a lead clinical role as appropriate in these situationsMaintain standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge by participating in continuous professional development initiatives and attendance at courses as appropriate and ensure compliance with statutory registration requirements.Facilitate basic grade colleague development through the use of clinical supervision and performance management systems, and informally through coaching and mentoring as appropriate Essential Criteria:Have a university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject AndHave an Irish post-graduate professional doctorate psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.AndDemonstrate competence in working with adults/children with DisabilityAndHave at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the postgraduate professional qualification and no less than two years full-time spent in post-qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
