Director of Service DeliveryLocation: High WycombeHybrid/Permanent About the roleAs we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Director of Service Delivery to lead our technical delivery functions, including our growing Penetration Testing business.You’ll lead the Heads of Professional Services, Managed Services and Penetration Testing, with responsibility for developing our services, growing the penetration testing business, identifying new opportunities and building high-performing teams.This is a senior, commercially focused role, working closely with Sales, Solutions, customers and technical teams to drive growth while maintaining the high-quality service and standards our customers expect from Saepio.This is a hands-on role. Saepio’s core market is SMB and mid-market organisations, so we’re looking for a leader with genuinely current, deep technical cyber security knowledge who enjoys staying close to service design and delivery – ideally with some exposure to enterprise-level engagements so they can help us scale services as we grow.This role sits alongside our Director of Service Operations, who owns consistency and efficiency across all of Services and Consultancy. As Director of Service Delivery, you are the cyber security SME for the function: you’ll set strategic direction, and work with the Heads of Professional Services, Managed Services and Penetration Testing (and Solutions) to decide which products we build services around and what the market wants and will pay for. The Director of Service Operations then operationalises those decisions consistently and efficiently across the teams, and feeds you delivery, utilisation and margin performance to inform further commercial and technical changes. Consultancy is out of scope for this role.What you’ll be doing?·      Lead and develop the Professional Services and Managed Services functions, ensuring both teams deliver consistently high-quality services while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. ·      Own the growth and development of the Penetration Testing business, including strategy, people, delivery, customers, commercial performance and identifying new opportunities, services and markets. ·      Drive the development of our Professional Services portfolio, building scalable and repeatable offerings across areas such as penetration testing, email security, EDR/MDR, Network/SSE/SASE and Cloud, while identifying opportunities to use automation and AI to improve efficiency. ·      Work directly alongside our technical specialists and practitioners to help shape methodologies, deliverables and service standards – this is a hands-on role, not one of oversight alone.·      Work closely with Sales, Solutions, customers, vendors and partners to develop propositions, take our capabilities to market, understand customer challenges and identify opportunities to grow existing and new customer relationships. ·      Own the successful delivery and commercial performance of the functions, overseeing project delivery, utilisation, revenue, margins, pipeline, customer retention and Managed Services renewals. ·      Develop our people and technical capabilities, ensuring team members maintain relevant certifications, build their skills and expertise, and that Saepio remains aligned with the evolving cyber security market.·      Partner closely with the Director of Service Operations, using delivery, utilisation and margin performance data to inform commercial and technical decisions about the services portfolio.What are we looking for? We’re looking for a hands-on, technically credible services leader who understands both the technical and commercial sides of cyber security – someone who has operated at a tactical, delivery-focused level within an SMB/mid-market-focused MSSP, MSP or specialist cyber security provider. You’ll be confident leading technical teams, developing customer-focused services and identifying opportunities for growth. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, with a genuine interest in emerging technology, AI and automation and how they can improve the way we work. Our Requirements ·      6–8+ years’ hands-on experience in Professional Services, Cyber Security, Penetration Testing or a related technical services environment, including experience managing or mentoring a technical team. ·      Strong understanding of the Professional Services model, ideally with experience leading a penetration testing or security consultancy function. ·      Proven commercial experience, including revenue growth, utilisation, margins, pipeline and/or customer retention, with experience developing and taking new services or propositions to market. ·      Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with technical and senior stakeholders and communicate confidently at all levels. ·      Strong leadership, organisational and people management skills, with a genuine interest in developing technical teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. ·      Strong, current, hands-on technical knowledge of at least one core cyber security discipline (e.g. penetration testing, managed detection & response, email security, network/SSE/SASE or cloud security), gained through direct delivery rather than oversight alone.·      Experience working with SMB and mid-market customers, ideally with some exposure to enterprise-level engagements so you can help scale our services as we grow.Other skills/qualifications – (Desirable, not mandatory)·      Industry & Relationships: Relevant cyber security/industry certifications and experience developing strategic customer and vendor relationships, ideally within a managed security services environment. ·      Innovation & Efficiency: Experience using automation and AI to improve service delivery, efficiency and scalability. About SaepioCyber security isn’t an add-on to IT.
