Cleary Motors is currently recruiting an experienced Service Manager to join its expanding aftersales team.The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Manager to join our expanding Aftersales team, ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer ahead of a planned retirement.The successful candidate will lead a team of Master Technician’s, Service Technicians, Advisors and Apprentices. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of customer satisfaction within the Renault service department, while driving labour sales, productivity, and profitability. You will identify opportunities to enhance departmental performance and implement effective service strategies to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.In this role, you will deliver an excellent customer experience within the Renault service department, ensuring high satisfaction levels. You will drive labour sales and profitability targets, identify opportunities to improve performance, and implement effective service strategies to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly business goals.Role ResponsibilitiesManagementEnsures the Renault service department is adequately staffed to achieve business objectivesCommunicate service procedures and administration requirements (including job cards) to ensure accuracy and complianceMonitor all Renault service technicians’ productivity, efficiency, quality, and comebacksManage vehicle comebacks, damages and quality service issues including associated costs and customer interactionsSupport upselling opportunities through the Service Advisor TeamReview work in progress (WIP) daily to ensure timely and accurate invoicingProvide regular performance updates to the Group Aftersales Manager on business activity and statisticsMaintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environmentSupport HR in employee relations, recruitment, and the people-related mattersIdentify opportunities to review pricing, labour rates and discount structuresParticipate in manufacturer and company training as required Customer ServiceEnsure the service team maintains and develops good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding expectations, with a right first-time approachManage customer queries and complaints professionally, achieving satisfactory outcomesLiaise with the customer to correctly diagnose non-standard or intermittent faults, where requiredStandards & RegulationsEnsure compliance with health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPEMonitor equipment safety and workshop standardsManage manufacturer audits and ensure compliance with required standardsSkills & ExperienceProven experience in vehicle servicing and repairsPrevious management and people management experience (essential)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsEffective problem solving and organisation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mind-setProfessional approach with the ability to build strong internal relationshipsFull, clean driving license*Please note that the recruitment and hiring process will be managed by Cleary Motors, RBK are facilitating applications only and will submit CVs directly to Cleary Motors*
