The role will support the delivery of cost‑effective, customer‑focused and compliant outcomes, working closely with loss adjusters, brokers, members and internal stakeholders while contributing to fraud prevention, continuous improvement initiatives and the wider claims and customer service objectives of the business.Fitness & Probity and Conduct StandardsIPB Insurance is a financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. As such, this role is regulated and subject to the Fitness and Probity Standards as set out by the Central Bank. These standards require that individuals performing Controlled Functions (CFs) are competent, capable, honest, ethical, and act with integrity. In addition, the role is subject to the Conduct Standards introduced under the Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Act 2023, which apply throughout the course of employment. Accordingly, this role will be subject to enhanced pre-employment screening procedures, and there will be an ongoing requirement for the role holder to maintain both fit and proper status and adherence to the Conduct Standards throughout their employment. To be successful in the role you will be accountable for:Managing an allocated mixed portfolio of property and other pre‑litigation claims through to resolution. Applying clear claims strategies, reviewing policy coverage and setting and monitoring reserves in line with IPB guidelines. Proactively reviewing files to ensure timely and cost‑effective outcomes for clients. Working closely with loss adjusters, brokers, customers and experts to progress investigations and gather key information. Identifying and pursuing appropriate settlement opportunities throughout the claim lifecycle. Participating in or leading negotiations, arbitrations and recovery actions to achieve resolution. Using telephone and direct engagement to support settlement outcomes where appropriate. Collaborating with senior claims handlers, underwriting and MCR to ensure consistency of strategy and a customer‑focused approach. Identifying emerging claims trends and sharing insights to support effective portfolio management. Ensuring compliance with regulatory, governance and IPB quality standards.
